Brookline Snow Advisory: 3-6 Inches Expected
Brookline's snowfall totals for Tuesday were upgraded.

BROOKLINE, MA β Brookline will get hit with 3-6 inches of snow Tuesday in the first snowstorm of winter.
It will be part of a wintry mix starting early Tuesday morning. The region will get 3-6 inches of snow followed by sleet.
A winter weather advisory was issued. The National Weather Service reported the following:

- A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 7 PM EST TUESDAY.
- HAZARD TYPES...SNOW...SLEET...AND FREEZING RAIN.
- ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATION OF 3 TO 6 INCHES...ALONG WITH AROUND A TENTH OF AN INCH OF ICE.
- TIMING...SNOW WILL BEGIN LATE MONDAY NIGHT AND POSSIBLY BE HEAVY AT TIMES TUESDAY MORNING. THE SNOW WILL BEGIN TO MIX WITH SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN TUESDAY MORNING AND CONTINUE THROUGH THE AFTERNOON.
- IMPACTS...SLIPPERY TRAVEL. ISOLATED POWER OUTAGES.
- WINDS...NORTHEAST 10 TO 15 MPH.
- TEMPERATURES...IN THE MID 20S TO LOWER 30S BY TUESDAY AFTERNOON.
- VISIBILITIES...HALF MILE OR LESS AT TIMES. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS.
- A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW...SLEET...OR FREEZING RAIN WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SLIPPERY ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.

- Monday: Sunny. High of 37 degrees, low 24. 10 mph winds. Snow after midnight.
- Tuesday: Snow in the morning and afternoon. The snow could be heavy at times. Rain/sleet after 3 p.m. High 36, low 32.
- Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, with a chance of rain after 8 p.m. High 39, low 32.
