BROOKLINE, MA β€” Three girls accused of armed robbery were caught in Brookline Sunday morning after crashing their SUV into a building on Vernon Street, according to police.

The crash happened around 5 a.m., just after the Brookline police dispatch issued an alert for officers to be on the look out for a gray SUV reportedly seen in connection with several robberies in the Brighton area. When officers arrived, they found the SUV crashed into an apartment building on Vernon Street near the corner with an alley.

The girls, ages 12, 14 and 15, were wanted in connection to several robberies and attempted robberies in Boston. Police said the group also attempted to rob two separate people on Harvard Street in Brookline and intentionally tried to run over one of them with the SUV.
