Boy Sent to Hospital After Jumping From Second Floor Apartment

Was reportedly trying to repeat brother's stunt.

A daredevil teenager was sent to the hospital this morning after jumping out of a second story window on Stearns Road.

The 13-year-old had no obvious injuries from the stunt, but was taken to Children's Hospital after complaining of back pain. Paramedics reported that he was alert and conscious.

Fire chief Peter Skerry said the boy wasn't trying to hurt himself, but had seen his brother jump out of the window a week earlier and was trying to repeat the stunt. The boy reportedly landed on his feet before falling backwards.

"He most likely will not be jumping out of any second-story windows any time soon," Skerry said.
