Brookline Arrests: Dealing Drugs, Parading With No Pants and Harassing Firefighters

Reports for July 6 - 12.

The following reports detail all Brookline Police Department arrests from July 6 through 12. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

Wednesday, July 7 Alleged drug dealing – Edward Johnson, 58, of 1045 Beacon St., Room 3, was arrested around 3:30 p.m. near 1047 Beacon St. and charged with conspiracy to violate drug laws. David MacLeod, 45, was arrested at the same time and charged with conspiracy to violate drug laws drug law as well. Officer reportedly observed Johnson and MacLeod exchange money while standing on the T Tracks on Boylston Street and believed a drug deal had occurred. Sergeant Thomas Ward made the arrest.

Thursday, July 8 Suspended License – Justin A. Fernandez, 24, of 24 Crispus Attucks Place, Roxbury, was arrested around 12:30 a.m. near the intersection of Route 9 and High Street and charged with speeding and operating after suspension. Officer Michael Fay made the arrest. Suspended License – Dana Scott Schneider, 39, of 154 Langley Road, #1, Newton, was arrested around 10:15 a.m. near 1894 Beacon Street and charged with operating after suspension and uninspected vehicle. Officer John King made the arrest. Β No Pants Parade – Roger L. Hale, 58, of 7 Kent Square was arrested around 1:45 p.m. near the intersection of Longwood Avenue and Kent street and charged with indecent exposure and being a disorderly person. Hale was reportedly founded walking on Longwood Avenue wearing a long buttoned shirt but no pants. Read the full story. Officer Joseph Amendola made the arrest. Warrant – Michael J. Hudson, 48, of 1799 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester, was arrested around 3:30 p.m. at 31 Harris St. on a straight warrant out of Woburn. Officer William McCue Jr. made the arrest.

Saturday, July 10 Harassing a firefighter – Kenneth Alfred Roy, 46, of 1017 Beacon St., Apt. 13, Brookline, was arrested around 9:30 a.m. at his home and charged with being a disorderly person and hindering a firefighter. Officer Joseph Amendola made the arrest. Police were called to the building at 1017 Beacon St. after firefighters stationed there because of a broken sprinkler system reported that a resident had begun harassing them. Firefighters told police that Roy had repeatedly demanded that they shut the front door to the building, which was being kept open for safety reasons, and threatened to close it himself. Roy reportedly told firefighters he was afraid "someone will coming in and rape me." Officers reported observing that Roy was unsteady on his fee and was speaking in very loud voice. Restraining order violation – John Gabriel Carr, 39, of 83 St. Paul St., Unit 2, Brookline, was arrested around 4:03 p.m. at his home and charged with violating a restraining order. Carr had reportedly been issued an order to leave 83 St. Paul St. on July 9, but was still there when police came the following day. Officer John Amendola made the arrest.

Monday July 12 Two Taggers Taken In – Shawn Ryan Sullivan, 23, of 26 Pheasant St., West Roxbury, was arrested shortly after midnight near the Centre Street municipal parking lot and charged with defacing. David Joseph David Clark, 23, of 33 Oakland Road, Brookline, was arrested around 1:30 a.m. and charged with defacing as well. Officers patrolling Harvard Street reportedly observed Sullivan using a can of spray paint to write on a wooden fence along the alleyway between Harvard Street and the Centre Street Parking lot. When officers approached Sullivan, who had started walking out of the alley with Clark, they reportedly found the word "STAN" in fresh blue paint on the fence and a can of blue spray paint that had been tossed from the alleyway. Officers also reportedly found photos of several tags on Clark's cell phone and determined that he had tagged the fence as well. Officer Robert Teahan made the arrests. No License – Kyu Suk Kim, 40, of 33 Pond Ave., Apt. 824, Brookline, was arrested around 12:30 p.m. near the intersection of Harvard and Thorndike streets and charged with operating without a license. Officer Lauren O'Connor made the arrest.

Tuesday July 13 On the Lam – Ralph Anthony Rios, 43, of 452 Hanover St., #503, Boston, was arrested around 12:15 a.m. near the intersection of Harvard and Commonwealth avenues in Allston and charged with being a fugitive from justice. Rios was reportedly spotted on Royce Road in Allston by a Brookline detective who recognized him from an early incident. Dispatchers determined that Rios was wanted on a warrant out of Florida for violation probation related to an aggravated stalking charge, and officers stopped him about a block away. Brookline Police conduct the sheriff's office in Largo, FL, and were told that authorities there would only pick Rios up from within the state. Detective Matthew McDonnell made the arrest.
