Brookline Arrests: Driving Drunk and Not Stopping For the Law

Reports for Aug. 16 to 22.

The following reports detail Brookline Police Department arrests from Aug. 16 - 22. Suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

Monday, Aug. 16
  • Warrant – Samantha Jane Kaszuba, 29, of 10 Pearl St. Dorchester was arrested around 12:30 p.m.Β  at 300 South St. on a warrant for failure to appear out of Lowell. Kaszuba was reportedly arrested after staff at Bournewood Hospital informed police that she had a warrant and was about to be released. Officer Donal Kerrigan made the arrest.
  • Domestic Assault & Battery – A 15-year-old Brookline resident was arrested around 6:30 p.m. at her home and charged with domestic assault and battery. Officer Barry McNeilly.
Tuesday, Aug. 17

Wednesday, Aug. 18
  • Drunk Driving – Michelle Nicolas, 22, of 10 Mountview Drive, Ashland, was arrested around 4 a.m. near Washington and Boylston streets and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, operating under the influence of a Class D Substance, leaving the scene of an accident, operating to endanger, operating recklessly and failure to stay in marked lanes. Nicolas was also issued a town-bylaw citation for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Read the full story. Officer Morgan Lee made the arrest.
  • Police Chase – Brittany Joy Sanders, 24, of 48 Kensington St. Apt. 1, Roxbury, was arrested around 1:30 p.m. near Boylston Street and Buckminster Road and charged with operating to endanger, operating after suspension, failure to stop for police, failure to stop for a red light, failure to yield to pedestrians and two counts of failure to stop for a stop sign.Β  Read the full story. Thursday, Aug. 19
  • Suspended License – Christopher J. Butts, 38, of 160 Boylston St., #2138, Newton, was arrested around 9:30 a.m. near Lagrange Street and Beverly Road and charged with operating after suspension, failing to register a motor vehicle and failing to submit a motor vehicle for inspection. Officer Mark Harrington made the arrest.
Friday, Aug. 20
  • No Arrests Reported
Saturday, Aug. 21
  • Suspended License – Eugenio Martinez Nieves, 34, of 3 Mt. Vernon Street, Apt. 1, Dorchester was arrested around 9:14 a.m. near 240 Lee St. and charged with operating after suspension. Officer Amy Hingston made that arrest.
Sunday, Aug. 22
  • Suspended License – Karen Ho, 35, of 50 Evergreen St., Jamaica Plain, was arrested around 1 p.m. near Chapel and Colchester streets and charged with operating after suspension and failing to submit a motor vehicle for inspection. Officer Lauren O'Conner made the arrest.
