Brookline Arrests: Lots of Bad Behavior and Illegal Driving

The following reports detail Brookline Police Department arrests from Aug. 23 - 29. Suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

Monday, Aug. 23
  • No arrests reported.
Tuesday, Aug. 24
  • Domestic Assault & Battery – Dawn Autumn Yorke, 26, of 207 Hagan Road, Clermont, N.J., was arrested around 2 a.m. near 30 Webster St. and charged domestic assault and battery and assault battery with a dangerous weapon. Officer Michael O'Conner made the arrest.
Wednesday, Aug. 25
  • Tagging – Thomas Francis Wright, 45, of Commorant, MA, was arrested on Pleasant Street around 1:30 p.m. and charged with tagging. Wright was arrested after someone reported seeing a man in a grey trench coast spray painting a white fence on Pleasant Street. When police caught up with him on Commonweatlth Avenue, Wright reported had a can of spray paint in his pocket. Officer Amy Hingston made the arrest.
Thursday, Aug. 26
  • No License, No Registration, No Inspection – Charles Edward Nyen, 58, of 20 Virgil Road, West Roxbury, was arrested around 12:15 p.m. near 334 Clyde Street and charged with operating without a license, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating an uninsured vehicle and failure to submit a vehicle for inspection. Officer William McCue Jr. made the arrest.
  • Wrong Turn – Robert Saul Tumarkin, 57, of 18 Leonard Avenue, Cambridge, was arrested around 11:30 a.m. near 1362 Beacon St. and charged with operating after suspension and making a left turn where prohibited. Officer Joseph King made the arrest.
Friday, Aug. 27
  • No arrests reported.
Saturday, Aug. 28
  • No License, No Insurance, No Inspection – Charles William Hill Jr., 37, of 114 Allerton St. Apt. 2, Dorchester, was arrested around 7:15 p.m. near Longwood Avenue and the Riverway and charged with driving without a license, driving after insurance revocation and failure to submit a vehicle for inspection. Officer Russell O'Neill made the arrest.
  • Wrong Turn – Thomas Dwayne Collier, 54, of 902 Boylston St., Newton was arrested around 5 p.m. near Beacon and Carlston streets and charged with operating after revocation and making an illegal left turn. Officer Yu Kajita made the arrest.
Sunday, Aug. 29
  • Domestic Assault & Battery – Job D. Debach, 53, of 100 Goddard Ave., Brookline, was arrested around 10:45 p.m. at his home and charged with domestic assault and battery. Detective Cheryl Molloy made the arrest.
  • On the Car Prowl – Andujar Javier, 18, of 70 tennis Road, #2C, Mattapan; Jonathan Jean, 28, of 35 Fidelis Way #911, Brighton; Desmond Vashawn Joseph, 25, of 42 Empire Street, Apt #2, Brighton; and a 15-year-old girl were arrested around 7:45 a.m. near Verndale and Harvard streets and charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle, attempted breaking and entering, larceny, receiving stolen property worth more than $250 and conspiracy.   • Making a Scene – Frederick William Jarrett, a 39-year-old homeless man; Shawn Arthur Miles, 28, of 30 Boylston St., Boston; and Andrelle Lynette Vaughn, 45, of 41 McDonald St., Apt. 2, Quincy, were arrested around 1:15 a.m. near Pleasant Street and Commonwealth Avenue and charged with receiving stolen property and disorderly conduct. In addition, Vaughn was charged with operating after suspension, Miles was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon, and Jarrett was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon and possession of a Class C substance. The three were reportedly pulled over after an officer saw Vaughn jump out of their carβ€”which was stopped in the right hand laneβ€”and run around from the driver side to the passenger side while flailing her arms and yelling at people inside. A man reportedly got out of the vehicle and yelled back at Vaugn until the officer approached, at which point a third man got out of the car and began yelling as well. Police eventually found that the car Vaughn was driving had been reported stolen from Quincy earlier in the day. While searching the men, officers reportedly found that Miles was carrying a box cutter while Jarrett was carrying a box cutter and what appeared to be a piece of a crack pipe with coated with residue. Detective Matthew McDonnell made the arrests.
  • No License, Lots of Warrants – Jeffrey Arthur Forbes, 44, of 463C Maxfield St., New Bedford, was arrested around 3:30 a.m. on Cypress Street on three warrants and charged with operating without a license and driving with defective equipment. Officer Steven Yung made the arrest.
  • No License – Ricardo Alfonso Mendoza, 22, of 294 Chelsea St., Apt. 1, East Boston, was arrested around 3 a.m. near 910 Boylston Street and charged with operating without a license and speeding. Officer Robert Collins made the arrest.
  • Domestic Assault & Battery – Roger Scott Willson, 47, of 92 Chestnut St., Brookline was arrested around 12:30 a.m. on Aug. 30 at his home and charged with domestic assault and battery. Officer Michael Disario made the arrest.
