Brookline Arrests: Two Teens Charged After Cops Break Up Massive Party

Arrest reports for March 7 - 13.

Two 16-year-old boys were arrested last week after police broke up a party of 25 to 30 teenagers in an affordable housing complex on High Street.

One of the teens now faces charges of assault and battery on a police officers, resisting arrest, furnishing alcohol to minors and being a minor in possession of alcohol, while the other has only been charged with assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest. Police have not identified either one because of their age.

According to an arrest report, police were called to 22 High Street around 10 p.m. on March 10 after a neighbor complained of an ongoing fight on the fifth floor of a rear staircase. Officers could hear loud music and voices from one apartment as they arrived but reported that the party went silent after they knocked on the door and nobody answered.

According to the report, a teenager eventually came to the door after officer threatened to get a master key from the fire department but refused to let officers inside. After allegedly observing an empty beer can and smelling marijuana coming from the apartment, an officer reportedly told the teen that he need to check on the wellbeing of the people inside and physically forced his way into the apartment.

As police searched the apartment, they reportedly found 25 to 30 teenagers hiding in several back rooms, along with more than a dozen empty beer bottles and two large containers of rum. Two of the teenagers, including the one that answered the door, allegedly became hostile toward the police and were handcuffed after pushing officers.

Police reported that β€œnone of the guests appeared to be intoxicated or impaired in any way” and all but two of them were released. No marijuana was found in the apartment.

The following reports detail all reported Brookline Police Department arrests for the week of March 7 - 13. Suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

Unregistered Sex Offender – Robert Graham, a 56-year-old man living at 422 Columbia Road, Apt. 11, Dorchester, was arrested near 1353 Beacon St. around midnight on March 12 and charged with failing to register as a sex offender. An officer stopped Graham after allegedly observing him walking along a stretch of Beacon Street where Graham has been involved in a number of incidents, including peeping into apartment windows, according to Wicked Local Brookline. After stopping him, officers found that Graham had failed to register as a sex offender on March 1, 2011. Police also reported that Graham had ailed to register three prior times in Boston and once before in Brookline. Officer Yu Kajita made the arrest.

Purse Snatching – Leon Scott Hafield, a 47-year-old man living at 5 G St., South Boston, was arrested near Harvard and Pierce streets around 10 a.m. on March 9 and charged with larceny from a building. Read the full story. Sergeant Paul Cullinane made the arrest.

Unwanted Grabbing – Mauricio Arboleda, a 30-year-old homeless man, was arrested near Harvard and Williams streets around 2 a.m. on March 14 and charged with assault and battery and possession of a Class B substance. Arboleda was reported stopped by police after a man approached a police cruiser in Coolidge Corner and complained that Arboleda was following him and had grabbed his shoulder at one point. While police were searching Arboleda’s wallet for identification, they reportedly came across a $10 bill wrapped around a quantity of cocaine. Officer Noah Brother made the arrest.

False Name – Cristiano Nogeira Silva, a 22-year-old man living at 47 Havelock St., Malden, was arrested near Lee and Clyde streets around 4:30 p.m. on March 8 and charged with speeding, driving without a license and providing a false name to police after arrest. Officer Kevin Sullivan made the arrest.

Trespassing – Kerry Michael Jones, a 38-year-old man living at 200 Chestnut St., Apt. 3, Brookline was arrested at 216 Chestnut St. around 2:15 a.m. on March 8 and charged with trespassing. Officer Sean Russell made the arrest.

Illegal Tinting – Tyrone Curtis Strong, a 33-year-old man living at 91 Millet St., Dorchester, was arrested near 75 Lee St. around 5:45 p.m. on March 11 and charged with driving with a suspended license, driving an unregistered vehicle and illegal window tinting. Sergeant Derek Hayes made the arrest.

Assault and Battery – Adam Kaplan Cassell, a 43-year-old man living at 119 Westbourne Terrace, Brookline, was arrested at his home around 11:45 a.m. on March 9 on a warrant for assault and battery and assault and battery on a disabled person or person over age 60. Officer Julie McDonnell made the arrest.

Domestic Assault and Battery – Farid El Bahraqui, a 35-year-old man living at 22 Chestnut Place, #302, Brookline, was arrested at his home around 8 p.m. on March 10 and charged with domestic assault and battery. Officer Steven Weinstein made the arrest.

Domestic Assault and Battery – Tayla L. Ramos, a 22-year-old woman living at 5936 Martin Luther King Boulevard, Atlanta, was arrested near 30 Village Way around 4 a.m. on March 10 and charged with domestic assault and battery. Officer Morgan Lee made the arrest.

Domestic Assault and Battery – John Benjamin Kindregan, an 18-year-old man living at 133 Coolidge St. Second Floor, was arrested at his home around 2:15 p.m. on March 13 and charged with domestic assault and battery. Officer David Cheung made the arrest.

No License – Almiro De Jesus, a 36-year-old man living at 60 Franklin St., Apt. 9, Stoneham, was arrested near 1126 West Roxbury Parkway around 2:45 p.m. on March 8 and charged with driving without a license and driving a commercial vehicle without owner markings. Officer Melville Seibolt Jr. made the arrest.

No License – Costa Denilson, a 29-year-old man living at 30 Glen St., Apt. 2, Worchester, was arrested near 243 Tappan St. around 12:30 p.m. on March 8 and charged with driving without a license and failing to install a current registration sticker. Officer Amy Hingston made the arrest.

No License – Tyler James Tritipo, a 23-year-old man living at 1961 Commonwealth Ave., Apt. B1, Brighton, was arrested near Beacon Street and Summit Avenue around 11:30 a.m. on March 7 and charged with driving without a license and making an illegal left turn. Officer Robert Teahan made the arrest.

Suspended License – Michael C. Kimbrough, a 22-year-old man living a 7 Jefferson St. #1, Cambridge, was arrested near Brookline Avenue and Pearl Street around 9:45 p.m. on March 11 and charged with speeding and driving with a suspended license and cited for possession of marijuana. Officer John Canney made the arrest.

Suspended License – Coriemarie Lynn Daniels, a 26-year-old woman living at 251 Neponset St., Canton, was arrested near Harvard and Babcock streets around 1 a.m. on March 14 on several outstanding warrants and charged with failing to stop for a red light and driving with a suspended license. Suspended License – Pasquale Michael Vitale, a 58-year-old man living at 74 Windsor Road, Medford, was arrested near 33 Powell St. around 3 p.m. on March 10 and charged with driving with a suspended license. Sergeant Mark Trahon made the arrest.

Suspended License – Juan Bojorquez, a 42-year-old man living at 220 East Eagle St., East Boston, was arrested near 164 Westbourne Terrace around 7:30 p.m. on March 7 and charged with driving with a suspended license. Officer Daniel Yanez made the arrest.

Suspended License – Sandro Dossantos, a 45-year-old man living at 14 Holden St., Apt. 1, Lowell, was arrested near Boylston Street and Dunster Road around 2:45 p.m. on March 7 and charged with speeding and driving with a suspended license. Officer Kevin Sullivan made the arrest.

Suspended License – Andrew John Bearisto, a 21-year-old man living at 91 Oakland St., Dedham, was arrested near Lee and Dudley streets around 12 p.m. on March 7 and charged with speeding and driving with a suspended license. Officer Patrick Elwood made the arrest.

Revoked License – Nina B. Dwyer, a 27-year-old woman living at 98 Brookley Road, Apt. 2, Jamaica Plain, was arrested near High Street and Acron Road around 5:30 p.m. on March 10 and charged with driving with a revoked license, driving with defective equipment, failure to attach a front license plate and failure to submit a vehicle for inspection. Officer Brendan Morgan made the arrest.

Warrant Arrest – Anthony Paul Santacaterina, a 67-year-old man living at 77 East St., Franklin, was arrested near 227 Babcock St. around 11 a.m. on March 7 on warrants our of Milford and Wrentham . Officer Edward Amendola made the arrest.

Warrant Arrest – Stanford Frederick Fibus, a 55-year-old man living at 12 Walnut St., Apt. 1, Brookline was arrested at his home around 7:30 p.m. on March 7 on a warrant for failing to stop for a police officer. Officer John Jennings made the arrest.

Warrant Arrest – Cassandra D. Mayo, a 22-year-old woman living at 506 Gorham St., Apt. 1L, Lowell, was arrested at the Public Safety Building around 6:45 p.m. on March 7 on a warrant out of Lowell for driving without a license and failing to install a registration sticker. Officer Kevin Fallon made the arrest.
