Brookline Hair Salon to Offer Free Cuts to Children in Need
Program runs through Aug. 15.
As part of its annual "Share a Haircut" program, the Hair Cuttery on Beacon Street is offering free hair cut to disadvantaged Brookline children as they get ready to go back to school
From Aug. 1 through 15, every time a paying customer under age 18 receives a haircut at the Hair Cuttery, a free cut will be provided to a disadvantaged child in Brookline through a partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families. The program is timed so children can have a fresh haircut when they head back to school in September.
The Cuttery, which has nearly 900 salons on East Coast and Midwest, has given away more than half a million haircuts since it started the program in 1999.
