Brookline Invites Residents to Explore Fisher Hill Reservoir Park Friday
The town is holding its grand opening celebration for the park tomorrow evening.

BROOKLINE, MA β Brookline invites is opening up its new Fisher Hill Reservoir Park and invites residents to explore the grounds tomorrow evening.
The celebration begins at 6 p.m. and will feature live music, giant puppets, live animal demonstrations, kite making, lawn games, a mobile bicycle library, food trucks and a wine bar for those over 21. It will host a screening of the hit family movie "Inside Out" at 8:30 p.m.
Visitors are encouraged to walk, carpool or use public transportation, as limited parking is available in the adjacent Newbury College parking lot. Those interested in attending are asked to bring their own blanket or chairs, and a flashlight is recommended for the movie.

Plans to convert the former MWRA Fisher Hill Reservoir into a 10-acre park were originally approved in 2012. The new space contains athletic fields, play and gathering spaces; preservation of the historic gatehouse; seating and a walking path; and a plant and wildlife habitat.
The Fisher Hill Reservoir Park is located at 90 Fisher Ave. in Brookline.
