Brookline National Historic Sites Free for NPS 100th Birthday

The John Fitzgerald Kennedy and Frederick Law Olmsted sites will be free from Aug. 25 to 28 for the National Park Service's centennial.

BROOKLINE, MA – Those looking to enjoy Brookline's national parks can do so for free this Thursday to Sunday in honor of the National Park Service's 100th birthday.

According to NPS, entrance will be free to all national parks from Aug. 25 to 28. In Brookline, this means you can take in the sights at the John Fitzgerald Kennedy and Frederick Law Olmsted historic sites free of charge for a limited time.

The John Fitzgerald Kennedy Historic Site, located at 83 Beals St., is open Wednesday to Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Take a look at where our 35th president was born and learn about the Kennedy family's early years.

The Frederick Law Olmsted Historic Site, located at 99 Warren St., is open Wednesday to Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Offering guided tours every hour, the site takes attendees through the life of one of the country's foremost mavericks of landscape architecture and park design.
