Brookline, Newton Police Investigating Reported Sightings of Missing New York Man
David Mark, 24, has been missing since Wednesday.

Local police are still searching the area for since he left his Albany, New York home Wednesday morning.
David Mark, 24, is a Type 1 diabetic whose car was found outside the Brimmer & May School in Chestnut Hill. Witnesses say his car had been parked there since Wednesday.
Newton Police Lt. Bruce Apotheker said officers are investigating several reported sightings in the area, but have not been able to confirm whether any were actually Mark. Apotheker could not comment on the exact locations of the sightings.

Meanwhile, Brookline Police Sargent Robert Disario said that someone reported spotting a man on the MBTA Green C line that matched Mark's description. However, after searching the area, police came up empty-handed.Β
Disario said the person that was spotted got off the train somewhere between Washington Square and Coolidge Corner, but that police "have no idea whether it was (Mark) or not."

Mark is described as a white male, 5-foot-5 with dark hair. He was last seen wearing a waist-length leather coat, a tan knit shirt with no collar and black and grey Adidas sneakers. Mark's parents say he left the house without his long-acting insulin, which he needs to treat his Type 1 diabetes.Β
