Brookline Officials to Offer One-Night Emergency Preparedness Training
Event coincides with National Preparedness Month.

Officials from Brookline's police, fire and health departments have collaborated to organized a one-night training program aimed at making Brookline's families more prepared for an emergency.
The two-hour class, scheduled for Sept. 29 at 6:30 p.m., will offer simple steps to help residents prepared for a range of emergencies, including fires, severe weather and more. Attendees will be taught about a how to use a 72-hour "Emergency Go Kit," and will receive their own starter kit.

The training program is scheduled to coincide with National Preparedness Month in September. The town is also starting a 10-week training course for the Community Emergency Response Team on Sept. 20.
