Brookline Police Officer Helps Deliver Baby
She asked for license and registration but got a birth certificate instead.

It was just another Thursday morning for Brookline Police Officer Rafaela Carlisle-Swedberg - until she delivered a baby.
At 7 a.m., Officer Carlisle-Swedberg pulled over a man at the cross-streets of Chestnut Hill Avenue and Dean Road for running a red light.
The driver informed the officer that his wife was in labor and he was rushing her to the hospital. Officer Carlisle-Swedberg followed the vehicle down Route 9 after the man declined her offer to call for an ambulance.

When the couple reached Warren Street, the driver pulled over, got out of the car, and waved the officer down. Officer Carlisle-Swedberg went to the passenger door and assisted in the delivery of the baby.
The mother and her newborn daughter were taken to Brigham and Womenβs Hospital after the childβs birth.
