As a woman was walking to her Pond Avenue building on Mother's Day, a man followed her and demanded money, according to police.

BROOKLINE, MA β As a woman was walking to her Pond Avenue building on Mother's Day, a man followed her and demanded money. Now police are asking for the public's help in finding the man.
Just after 9 p.m. Sunday, a Pond Avenue resident called police to report a woman was being attacked outside the building. A woman had been walking to the building after parking, when a man ran up behind her and asked for money, according to police and surveillance video from the night. The woman told the man she didn't carry money, and showed him that her bag was empty, but he was adamant, she later told police. She t began yelling in an effort to attract attention, and it worked. Someone inside heard and came to the door, and then called 911.
The man who had come up asking for money ran off.

Now, police are asking for the public's help to identify a man they think may be connected. The man is described as white with curly, shoulder-length hair, about 5'4.
