Brookline Takeout, Delivery Options During Coronavirus Shutdown
Local restaurants have closed their dining rooms. Here's where to eat and support local businesses.
BROOKLINE, MA — All restaurants and bars across the commonwealth have been ordered to close to dine-in customers in an effort to help contain the spread of the new coronavirus. But local eateries are still allowed to offer delivery and takeout.
That means restaurants that depend on customers coming in and sitting down to eat and drink have either had to close temporarily - as the Abbey in Washington Square and Bar Cino in St. Mary's have both done - or move to a pickup or delivery-only model for the time being.
Jimmy Wong, owner of Lee's, said he - like many other businesses still open - has seen a big drop in the number of customers.

"It's a tough time for everyone," he told Patch.
The Brookline Chamber of Commerce has seen it first hand. "COVID-19 is hurting Brookline Businesses," the group said in a statement.
