Convicted Murderer from Brookline Gets Life in Prison
Man found guilty last week of killing co-worker in 2009.

A 67-year-old Brookline man convicted last week of murdering his co-worker at a pool supply warehouse will spend the rest of his life in prison, according to yesterdayβs decision from a Middlesex Country judge.
Clyde Howard was of several charges on Friday in connection with the 2009 slaying of 33-year-old Maurice Ricketts, who had worked with Howard at Bay State Pool Supply Company in Cambridge. He was sentenced yesterday to life in prison without parole.
Howard and Ricketts reportedly had what the district attorneyβs office has called an βongoing dispute of a personal natureβ leading up to the Jan. 28, 2009 shooting, in which Howard brought a gun to work and shot Ricketts repeatedly outside the companyβs warehouse on Smith Street in Cambridge.
