The Coolidge Corner Gym has been owned by its members since 2005, when it was known as the Fitness Connection, according to its website. It traces its roots back to a women-only facility opened in Allston in 1974 and has changed its name and ownership several times over the last three decades.

Miller said the gym announced the closure on Feb. 10 and has reimbursed most members who prepaid their monthly dues for March.
