Dusting of Snow for Brookline as Big Storm Tracks Farther Offshore
Winter Storm Jonas was expected to wreak havoc on the mid-Atlantic before weakening by the time it reaches Brookline.

BROOKLINE, MA β Brookline is expected to receive only a dusting of snow Saturday night during Winter Storm Jonas.
The storm on Friday was churning over parts of Virginia and Maryland, where it was expected to dump up to 3 feet of snow.
But by the time the storm rolls up through New England, it will lose strength. Brookline is expected to get only an inch or two. The storm will hit the hardest in southeast Massachusetts and Rhode Island, where up to 6 inches of snow or more is expected.
