1 Dead In Elevator On Comm Ave: Reports
"Boston Police responded to assist an incident with an elevator and some sort of victim," a Boston police spokesperson told Patch.
BROOKLINE, MA β According to police scanner radio an elevator crashed in a building Commonwealth Avenue, near the border of Brookline seriously injuring a person. CBS news and Boston 25 are both reporting that a woman in her 30s was found inside the elevator on the first floor of the building and pronounced dead.
"I can confirm that Boston Police responded to assist an incident with an elevator and some sort of victim," officer Stephen McNulty of the Boston Police department told Patch.
Boston first responders were called to 1140 Commonwealth Avenue just after 5 p.m., he said.

Police scanner radio also said one person may be crushed in the elevator shaft while another was trapped inside it.
OSHA and MEMA were also called to investigate.

Passersby told Patch that just after 6 p.m. at least nine fire trucks were there and dozens of passers by had stopped to see what drew them.
