Extreme Cold Through Weekend for Brookline

Wind chill values will hover near zero as a major storm system is in the works.

BROOKLINE, MA β€” Wind chill values will continue to hover around zero in Brookline through the weekend.

Wind gusts will hit about 25 mph Wednesday night into Thursday. The wind will die down a bit Friday ahead of a major storm Saturday that could drop snow on the region.

  • Wednesday night: 16 degrees. 10 mph winds. Wind chill values in the single digits.
  • Thursday: Sunny. High 28, low 13. 25 mph winds. Wind chill values near zero in the morning.
  • Friday: Sunny. High 28, low 15. 10 mph winds.

Initial forecasts said Saturday’s storm could drop a foot of snow; many now show a lower amount. The National Weather Service said on Wednesday it was too early to give accumulation estimates.
