Firefighter Allegedly Beats Homeless Man For Ordering Mexican Food Too Slowly
The Brookline firefighter is facing assault charges, and has reportedly been placed on administrative leave.

A Brookline firefighter was arrested and placed is on leave after allegedly attacking a homeless man for taking too long to order food, whdh.com reports.
Joseph Ward, 37, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon after a fight with the man Sunday at Annaβs Taqueria, myfoxboston,com reports. The firefighter reportedly told the man to hurry up and order his food. The man soon left, but the firefighter reportedly followed him outside, cursed at him, then punched him, threw him to the ground and threw food at him. A witness told police the firefighter punched the man multiple times and kicked him. He also reportedly used a bottle in the attack.
The firefighter left but was soon arrested after the victim identified him. fled the scene but was arrested shortly after the victim identified him.
