Former Brookline Pastor Gets 7 Years for Keeping Child Porn

Stefanidakis kept more than 10,000 pictures and videos of minors.

A former minister and β€œmedium” at Brookline’s was sentenced to seven years in prison yesterday for keeping a vast collection of child pornography.

Simeon P. Stefanidakis, 60, was convicted of transporting child pornography in 2008 and possessing child pornography in 2009. Prosecutors said he had more than 10,000 pornographic images and videos that featured β€œdepictions of prepubescent minors and sadistic content,” according to a press release from the office of U.S. Attorney Carmen M. Ortiz.

Prosecutors described Stefanidakis as a β€œminister, teacher, counselor and β€˜medium’” at the First Spiritual Temple, a Spiritualist church located at 16 Monmouth St. He has reportedly lived in Brookline and Old Greenwich, CT.

Stefanidakis will be subject to five years of supervised release after serving his prison sentence.
