Why Go: A storm-related cancellation means you get two artists on one night. Marc Mancuso, a sculptor behind the β€œβ€ exhibit, joins Eric Myrvaagnes, a photographer whose work is on display in a collection called β€œTar Gazing,” for a joint reception.

Where/When: Boston University’s Morse Auditorium, Saturday, 3-5 p.m.

Why Go: Last year, Brookline resident and post-polio survivor Mary McManus ran her first marathon alongside her husband, Tom. Now Tom is raising money for another marathon run for a young patient partner named Christos Couturier. This weekend’s benefit concert features BU’s Dear Abbeys, Boston-based touring group Ball in the House and others.

Why go: This fair will feature a variety of hand-made gifts, keepsake boxes, jewelry, handmade soaps, silk and knitted items and contemporary folk art.

Why Go: More than 20 vendors will have their all-you-can-eat chocolatey goods for you to enjoy. All proceeds will go to the Brookline Emergency Food Pantry, which is struggling to keep up with record demand among Brookline’s neediest.
