D Line Service Back After Green Line Derailed In Brookline
The Green Line is back and running, according to the MBTA some three hours after the D line went off the rails.

BROOKLINE, MA β The MBTA's D line is back in service after a train car's wheels hopped the tracks Tuesday ahead of the Pats parade.
One rider on the D line this morning said it felt like the train hit something two separate times as a seat nearby popped off and the train skidded to a halt and derailed near Beaconsfield, prompting a service suspension.
"Around 10:25, the center wheels on the second car of an outbound train approaching Beaconsfield derailed," said MBTA spokesperson Joe Pesaturo.

The good news is that it wasn't a packed train and there were no injuries. Pesaturo said about 45 passengers were walked off the train.
Crews are working to re-rail the car and figure out what caused the derailment, he said.

The D line was suspended in both directions between Kenmore and Reservoir for some four hours. Inbound passengers were asked to take a train to Reservoir and walk four minutes to Cleveland Circle to continue inbound. Or wait for the shuttle bus.

One rider sent in a photo that appeared to show some damage to the seats on the train where no one was sitting. They said the seat shot up on impact and the heater below started smoking.
Pesaturo said MBTA workers removed the seats to access some equipment.
