Here's the Brookline Restaurant That Made 2016 'Best New Restaurants' List

Get fired up.

A big congratulations is in order for Stoked Wood Fired Pizza Co., one of 47 restaurants named in Boston Globe Magazine's ranking of best new restaurants in the year gone by.

The Beacon Street spot was hailed by the Globe as a family-friendly place that dishes out "blistered, perfectly chewy pies that will knock your socks off." Couple that with a commendable drink menu, and it more than earns its spot on the list.

Previously only available in food truck form, Stoked opened at 1632 Beacon Street last April.

Although it was Brookline's only spot on the 2016 best-of roundup, the town still left its mark elsewhere.

The dough-slinging duo behind Arlington's Commune Kitchen previously worked at at Brookline’s Clear Flour Bread. And the owner of KoKo Bakery, also on the 2016 list, was previously with Brookline's closed (and much missed) Japonaise Bakery and Cafe.
