BROOKLINE, MA β€” Brookline Village's newest tapas-style Thai restaurant and cocktail bar, Mahaniyom, opened this week boasting a variety of flavors that are hard to find in Boston.

Restaurant co-owners told Eater Boston the menu features carefully-sourced Thai ingredients like betel leaves, holy basil and makrut lime leaves.

Mahaniyom owners told the food publication the restaurant's food is reminiscent of β€œflavors we miss; the flavors of our home.”

El Centro owner Allan Rodriguez said then that he and his business partner were in the process of looking for a larger space when Mahaniyom came knocking.

"Brookline has been amazing. No complaints. I like the variety of the customers, they're very well traveled and know these dishes," Rodriguez told Patch.

Mahaniyom is open from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
