Man Arrested After Allegedly Groping Puzzle Shop Employee
Assault caught on tape by store surveillance cameras.
Police arrested a 28-year-old Washington, D.C. man on Friday after he returned to the Coolidge Corner puzzle shop where he had allegedly groped a young employee the day before.
Jason Fitzgerald Korb of 2331 Cathedral Ave. NW, Apt. 202, Washington, DC, was arraigned on charges of indecent assault and battery of a child over 14, assault and battery and trespassing.
According to police, a young female employee was getting a puzzle from a low shelf at Eureka! Puzzles around 8 p.m. on July 29 when Korb walked up behind her and started rubbing her back and buttocks while asking if she would go out with him. Korb allegedly tried to put his arms around the victim as she backed away and fled into the store's basement, where another employee was working.

But when the other employee went upstairs, Korb allegedly came down into the basement and apologized to the victim, leaving only after he heard footsteps on the staircase.
Store surveillance video reportedly shows Korb approach the victim in store, touch her and then follow her downstairs. Following the incident, store owner David Leshinsky printed wanted posters with images of the suspect from store surveillance cameras and posted information on the assault to the community website Coolidge Corner Hub.

Police were called back to the store around 10 a.m. the following day after Korb reportedly returned to the store and was recognized by several employees who had seen the wanted poster. When officers arrived, Korb was reportedly sitting on a bench outside the store.
Leschinsky did not return a call for comment on Friday.
