Man Wanted in Rash of Burglaries in Brookline

Police suspect Robert Forsyth in as many as 12 break-ins.

Brookline Police are asking for the public's help in locating a man suspected of breaking into as many as 12 homes in the last two months.

Police have issued a warrant for Robert Forsyth on three counts of receiving stolen property in connection with burglaries on Beacon Street, University Road, St. Paul Street and Browne Street. Lieutenant Phillip Harrington said police have recovered some of the stolen property that was allegedly sold by Forsyth.

Forsyth is described as a 55-year-old white male, about 5-feet-9-inches tall and 180 pounds. Police believe he is homeless, though he may be carrying a Florida ID card. He is pictured here in a 2007 mug shot.
