More Than 20 Computers Stolen From Brooklineβs Baker School
Police say school's security alarm was never tripped.

Brookline police are trying to figure out how someone managed to steal more than 20 computers from the earlier this month without tripping a security alarm.
Police say that 16 iMac laptops and five Apple desktop computers were stolen from the school computer lab sometime between Jan. 14 and 18, apparently through an unlocked adjoining classroom. The Baker School computer lab was also robbed in spring 2010, according to a police report.
Police have not said how much the stolen computers were worth and Superintendent Bill Lupini did not return a call this morning. School officials had not yet inventoried the stolen machines when the police report was filed.
