New Flash Flood Watch Issued For Brookline
Tonight's storm could dump two to three inches of rain an hour.
For the second time in the last week, the National Weather Service is warning that heavy rains could cause urban flooding in Brookline and the rest of Eastern Massachusetts tonight.
The service predicts the region could be hit with two to three inches of rain per hour tonight, potentially pushing urban rivers and streams beyond their banks. The service is warning drivers to watch for flooded roads in low lying areas.
Heavy rains last Saturday caused sudden flooding of some major roads in Brookline and minor water damage in several municipal buildings.
