No Reported Damage in Morning Lightning Storm
Lightning strike report on Washington Street.

A brief but intense lightning storm set off fire alarms and car crashes around Brookline this morning, but did no serious damage, according to Fire Chief Peter Skerry.
Skerry said firefighters handled a flurry of calls this morning for tripped alarms and a reported lightning strike near 811 Washington Street, but found no damage. The chief said the brunt of calls appeared to be centered around Washington Square.
"The storm seemed to come right down Beacon Street," he said. "But nothing damaging and nothing eventful, just a lot of running around for 30 to 45 minutes."
