One Person Hospitalized after Bicycle Accident on Hammond Street

Accident was near Soule Recreation Center.

One person was rushed to the hospital today after paramedics were called to the scene of an apparent bicycle accident on Hammond Street.

Chief of Operations Michael O'Reilly said dispatchers received a call about a bicycle traffic accident at 652 Hammond St. around 4:10 p.m. One person was sent to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, but a full report was not available because the ambulance had not yet been cleared, he said.

The accident occurred near the Soule Recreation Center, where summer camp programs began today.
