Owl Delays MBTA's Green Line In Brookline
The MBTA did, in fact, give a hoot Friday.

BROOKLINE, MA β Here's a rare one for you: Friday there was a delay on the MBTA's D line because of an owl on the tracks.
The MBTA gives a hoot. It turned out the owl was stuck on the tracks. Officials removed the bird and transported it to a care facility to get it checked out.
In 2016 a D train and an owl collided, and the MBTA officials rushed the owl to a wildlife clinic. Vets there said they treat about four owls a month - usually for ingesting rat poison.
