Summer is just around the corner and youβre already running out of time to get your children a spot in summer camp. Here are some options in Brookline:
Day Camps β Brookline Recreation Department
Why: Brooklineβs Recreation Department offers four sessions of day camp through the summer in three different age groups. Led by well-trained staff members, each camp includes arts and crafts, sports, aquatics play, field trips and other entertainment. Days start at 8:30 or 9 a.m. and goes until 4 p.m.
Smart Summers βΒ Brookline Adult & Community Education
Why: Brookline Adult Ed also offers a variety of specialized summer enrichment programs covering everything from sports and theatre to cooking and computers. These full- and half-day programs are aimed at children ages 5 to 13.

Summer Camps β Dexter & Southfields Schools
Why: These two private schools offer a variety of day and overnight camps, both at their Brookline campus and as far away as Cape Cod. Each camp is organized around a different interest, including sports, marine science, technology and sailing, among others
Summer at Park β Park School
Why: The Park Schoolβs summer offerings include a variety of general camps as well as programs built around the arts, science, sports, outdoor adventures and other special interests, including soap-box derby cars and clubhouse building. Most programs take place at the schoolβs South Brookline campus.

Summer Adventures β Brookline Arts Center
Why: During the summer months, the Brookline Arts Center offers a series of programs built around arts, crafts and story telling. The courses are aimed at children age 6-9 and run Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
