Police Arrest Suspect in Leicester Street Home Invasion
Man allegedly demanded jewelry, fled when he heard resident talking to police.

Police have arrested a man who allegedly broke into a Leicester Street home this morning and demanded jewelry from a man who lived there.
Brookline Police Capt. Thomas Keaveney said a man named Kenderick Johnson was booked around 9:30 a.m. this morning. Few details about the suspect or the charges against him were immediately available.
Keaveney said officers were sent to 45 Leicester Street around 8:30 this morning after a resident contacted police through the Life Alert personal emergency response system. The resident told police that a black man, believed to be Johnson, had broken into the home and demanded jewelry, then left when he heard him talking to dispatchers.

Keaveney said police stopped Johnson on foot near Heath Street and Reservoir Road and arrested him.
