Police Ask For Help Finding Brookline Bank Robber

Police are asking for the public's help identifying a man they said robbed a bank in St. Mary's.

BROOKLINE, MA β€” Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man caught on camera robbing a bank in the St. Mary's neighborhood Tuesday afternoon.

"Our Department is investigating a bank robbery that just occurred at the Brookline Bank, 1016 Beacon Street," police said in a statement.

Tuesday just before 2 p.m. a man walked into the Brookline Bank on Beacon Street in St. Mary's neighborhood, slid the bank tellers a note demanding money and indicated he had a gun.

Based on the bank employees description and surveillance footage, police said he was a slim white or Latinx in his 40s and about 5'8 wearing a hoodie and a blue hat with a white logo.

They said he walked off toward Boston and Park Drive. Surveillance footage shows him walking across Beacon Street carrying a bag. Police did not say how much, if any money he walked off with.
