  • The owner of Bazaar International Gourmet told police that a shoplifter had left his store, supposedly to get money, but left her ID on March 7.
Burglary
  • Someone broken into an apartment on University Road on March 10 and stole a laptop, digital camera and jewelry. Another resident in the same building told police that someone had damaged their door trying to get into the apartment as well.
  • At least two laptops were stolen from an Egmont Street apartment after someone climbed in through a window on March 9.
  • A man reported on March 8 that his car was broken into while parked on Park Street.
Theft
  • An Addington Road resident told police that a utility worker had been in her home weeks ago and she now believes some cash is missing.
  • A man was reportedly caught shoplifting at the CVS/pharmacy at 900 Commonwealth Ave. on March 10.
  • On March 10, a passerby reported that eight feet of copper wire were stripped from a town-owned utility pole at Bellingham Road and Grove Street.
  • A car parked on Beacon and Hawes streets was reported stolen late on March 9.
  • A leopard-print wallet was stolen from a laundromat on Harvard Street on March 7.
Vandalism
  • A bedroom window on Sumner Road was reportedly broken by a rock around March 10.
  • Someone slashed the tires of a car parked on Pleasant Street sometime around March 7.
Animal
  • A dog was struck by a car on Route 9 around 7 p.m. on March 10.
  • A bat was found in a basement laundry room on Tappan Street on March 8.
  • A Sears Road resident called police on March 8 after her golden doodle and border terrier got loose.
  • A coyote was spotted near Corey and Windsor roads on March 8.
Misc.
  • Somone called police on March 7 to report that his 10-year-old brother had been grabbed by a man on Cypress Street who thought the child had hit him with a bottle.
  • Two people were spotted throwing bags of trash into a fenced in area off Centre Street.
  • Staff at Bournewood Hospital called police on March 9 after two patients were caught having sex in the shower.
