Police to Conduct Liquor Stings at Brookline Bars, Package Stores

Compliance checks could occur through the rest of the year.

The Brookline Police Department has announced that its officers are currently conducting stings at all licensed liquor establishments to check their compliance with liquor laws.

Establishments found to be out of compliance are called to a hearing before the Board of Selectmen, which acts as the town's licensing authority. Selectmen can suspend or revoke the license of any establishment found to be violating liquor laws.

The stings, which will be conducted through the end of the year, will be conducted at all businesses that hold a Package License or Pouring Server License in Brookline. For more information, call 617-730-2781.
