Roxbury Woman Arrested After Allegedly Leading Police Chase Through Fisher Hill
Driver charged with operating to endanger, failure to stop for police, operating after suspension, various traffic charges.

A Roxbury woman was arrested last week after allegedly leading police on a brief chase through Fisher Hill that ended when she crashed her car into a cement pole.
Brittany Joy Sanders, 24, of 48 Kensington St. Apt. 1, Roxbury, was arrested around 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 18 near Boylston Street and Buckminster Road and charged with operating to endanger, operating after suspension, failure to stop for police, failure to stop for a red light, failure to yield to pedestrians and two counts of failure to stop for a stop sign.
Police say the chase began when an officer observed Sanders drive through a solid red light at Boylston and Cypress streets without braking, forcing several people about to cross at a crosswalk to step back out of the way.

The officer pulled over moments later, but she drove off again as he was getting out of his cruiser to approach her car, according to a police report. The officer pulled up behind Sanders again when she stopped at another red light and instructed her to pull over when the light turned green, which reportedly agreed to do.
But police said Sanders then pulled a wide right turn and hit the gas, striking a curb and popping her right passenger tire as she turned onto Sumner Road. Police pursued Sanders as she allegedly drove through the narrow residential streets of Fisher Hill at speeds of 40 to 45 miles per hour until she lost control turning onto Fisher Avenue and hit a cement pole.

After the crash, Sanders reportedly grabbed her purse and tried to walk away from the car, but was detained by police
