Spooky Screening: Hitchcock's 'Vertigo' To Show At Medfield State

Tickets for Coolidge Theatre's screening of "Vertigo" go on sale Friday.

BROOKLINE, MA β€” Halloween might be over a month away, but it's never too early to begin spooky season shenanigans, and Coolidge Corner Theatre will be brewing up an entire cauldron of scary.

Throughout the last weekend of September, the theater will take over the grounds of Medfield State Hospital to host drive-in showing of Alfred Hitchcock's famed 1958 film, "Vertigo." Screenings will be held Sept. 25, 26 and 27.

For an extra dose of spooky, attendees are invited to arrive early and take a socially distant walk around the hospital grounds. Showings all begin at sundown, or approximately at 7 p.m., rain or shine.

Tickets will cost $60 per car and will go on sale at 11 a.m. on Friday. Moviegoers are encouraged to arrive before sundown to allow time for parking.

In a release, the theater said attendees will park with smaller cars near the screen and larger vehicles near the back to avoid obstructing views. Audience members must stay in their cars unless buying concessions or visiting a restroom, in which case masks are mandatory.
