Thanksgiving Football: Brookline Warriors V Newton North Tigers

Brookline hosts Newton North this year as the tigers take on the warriors for the 2019 Thanksgiving rivalry game.

BROOKLINE, MA β€” Brookline is set to take on Newton North on Thanksgiving morning, as tradition has dictated for the past century or so. This will be the 126th time the Warriors have played their rival Newton North Tigers on Thanksgiving, making it one of the top 10 longest running rivalries in the country.

The game has special significance for Brookline, marking the last high school career game for 15 of the seniors playing, so fans are hoping to see a crowd of supporters to make it a memorable game.

The 2019 game is going to be a cold one, but folks who were at kickoff last year will tell you that with temperatures set to be in the upper 40s, it's significantly better than last year's which was well below freezing. Bring the mittens, the hot beverages and your best cheer.
