Three Teen Bicyclists Arrested For Disrupting Traffic in Brookline
Witnesses say teens forced drivers to brake suddenly to avoid them.
Three 17-year-old bicyclists were arrested last week after they were reportedly spotted weaving in and out of traffic to force drivers to brake suddenly.
Jamaree Bonnette and Asaad Eze of Roxbury and Howard Latimer of Malden were arrested around 9:45 p.m. on Aug. 10 and charged with disorderly conduct. Latimer has also been charged with receiving stolen property worth more than $250, possession of burglarious tools and possession of a Class D drug with intent to distribute.
Police located the teens after receiving complaints about three bicyclists "intentionally riding their bikes into traffic, slowing the free flow of traffic and nearly causing collision with other vehicles" on Beacon Street, according to a police report.

One caller also reported that the teens had laughed at her after forcing her to braked suddenly, according to police dispatch logs.
After locating the teens, an officer reported observing Latimer swerving his bike back and forth in the left travel lane to slow traffic while Eze and Bonnette rode in the bike lane on the right of the road and swerved into traffic only as cars approached, forcing them to brake suddenly.

After stopping the teens, officers determined that Latimer's bike and an iPhone he was carrying had been stolen. They also reportedly found a silver wrench and marijuana that appeared to have been packaged for distribution.
