Three Things To Do In Brookline This Weekend

Our Friday preview of weekend happenings in Brookline.

Take one look at the Brookline Patch Calendar and you'll see there's no shortage of things to keep you and your family busy this weekend. Here are a few of the happenings we're most excited about:

Drink for Free

There may be no such thing as a free lunch, but there's definitely such thing as free after-work drinks if you know where to look. Try stopping by Brookline Fine Wine & Gourmet Food in Brookline Village for their free weekly tasting of hand-selected wine varieties imported from around the world. Held every Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Learn to Belly Dance, Also for free

The Studio is celebrating its one-year anniversary and offering free dance and fitness classes throughout the weekend, so this is your chance to break out your coin sash and release your inner belly dancer. If that's not your thing, the adult-oriented dance studio is also offering Zumba, hip-hop, lyrical, yoga and more.

Tour storm-wrecked swampland

Hall's Pond has finally re-opened after a series of bad storms knocked down trees and lifted a boardwalk off its piers. So pack a picnic and take a mini-hike around one of only two natural ponds left in Brookline.
