Weather Service Warns of Severe Thunderstorms Tonight

The National Weather Service is warning that Brookline and surrounding areas could be hit by severe thunderstorms with high winds, hail and frequent lightening tonight.

The service predicts the storms will move into the region after 5 p.m. today, July 21, and could include large hail and "damaging" winds in some areas.

The threat of scattered thunderstorms could continue through the rest of the week and the service predicts a heat advisory may go into effect for Saturday.
