You can toss your trees for the next few days here in Brookline, but there are a few things to be aware of.
First, unlike many other municipalities, Christmas trees can be placed curbside on any regular trash collection day from now through Jan. 31.
However, city officials caution that this only applies to bare trees. Make sure you strip your firs of lights and ornaments, and find that hidden pickle before you throw it curbside. ("Hidden pickle," anyone? Or was that just our family?)
