All Burlington Businesses With Liquor License Pass Police Checks
Burlington police spent a month sending undercover buyers to businesses that sell liquor.
BURLINGTON, MA — All of Burlington's businesses with liquor licenses recently passed police compliance check, Police Chief Michael Kent announced. The department spent the last month sending undercover buyers to attempt to buy alcohol, and in all cases the buyers were asked for identification. The department warned businesses ahead of time, in a release at the beginning of December.
“I’m proud that all of our licensees successfully navigated this round of compliance checks,” Kent said in a statement. “This is an important initiative that we conduct periodically to ensure that our licensees are doing their part to keep alcohol out of the hands of minors.”
According to the release, anyone with questions about the checks can contact Detective Sgt. Matthew Leary at 781-272-1212.
