'Always There For Everyone': Burlington Hero Fighting Cancer

BURLINGTON, MA— When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we're working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

This submission comes from Gayle O'Callaghan who nominated her son-in-law William Victor Paige of Burlington.

Hero's job: Volunteer.

Relationship to nominee: In-law

Reason for recognition: Billy has given 100 percent as the president of Pop Warner, doing everything from coaching, cooking, meetings, setting up, for the games. He is always there to help. In May of 2020, Billy began fighting the fight of being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

One thing to know: Billy is always there for everyone. He is the best son in-law!
