Burlington Coronavirus: Library To Offer Virtual Programming

BURLINGTON, MA — The Burlington Public Library is launching virutal programming, Director Michael Wick said Thursday. The library has been closed to the public for over a month, but will soon begin hosting virtual book clubs and author discussions, among other programming.

“When our library took steps to close to the public, our staff quickly mobilized to bring many of our services online, such as providing quality books, movies and music, as well as a way to obtain a library card by creating a Stay-At-Home Library,” Wick said. “Bringing our much-loved programs online was the second step in this effort. Patrons can now enjoy the same quality events they attended in-person at the library while remaining in the comfort of their homes.”

The program calendar is available on library's website. The programs will be hosted via Zoom teleconferences or on the library's Facebook page.

One of the first events is an author event with Jacqueline Davies, author of The Lemonade War. Davies will do a question and answer session library’s Facebook page at 11 a.m., Friday, April 24.
