Burlington Cosi Closes, Alongside Most Boston-Area Locations

BURLINGTON, MA — Burlington Mall's Cosi has closed, QSR Magazine confirmed in its January issue. The restaurant opened in August of last year, and lasted less than six months. The fast casual chain, known for its flatbread, closed the majority of its Boston-area locations, leaving just two remaining.

QSR reports, citing Boston Business Journal, that there are now fewer than 30 Cosi locations, down from 48. The chain is based in Boston, and when it opened, Burlington's location was the companies eighth in the area.
