Burlington Del Frisco's Grille Closing Sunday

The chain appears to be closing a handful of locations, including both the Burlington and Chestnut Hill locations in the Boston area.

BURLINGTON, MA —Burlington's Del Frisco's Grille is closing in less than a week, according to a report Monday night. The upscale bar and grill will close its doors Oct. 20, alongside the chain's Chestnut Hill location. The closure was first reported by Boston Restaurant Talk.

"We have made the difficult decision to close," a representative confirmed to Patch.

The restaurant is located in the Burlington Mall, at 92 Middlesex Turnpike, Burlington, MA 01803. If you need to get your Del Frisco's fix after Sunday, you can still head to Westwood, or one of two area Del Frisco's Grille Double Eagle Steakhouse in the Back Bay and Seaport District. For those who had reservations at the two locations after Oct. 20, well, you're out of luck.

Texas-based Landry's announced last month it was buying the chain, alongside Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak Houses. Landry's owns a number of restaurant chains, ranging from the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company to other steakhouse chains like Morton's. The sale is expected to close this month, according to Forbes.

Landry's owner Tilman Fertitta told Forbes he is planning no operational changes to the Del Frisco’s brand, but the Boston-area locations are not the only ones closing: Eater reported that two D.C. area outposts are closing too.

As for staff, the restaurant said it hopes to place staff from the Burlington and Chestnut Hill locations at other area locations.

"We are incredibly proud of our team and appreciative of their unwavering dedication," said a representative in a message to Patch. "We are partnering with our nearby restaurants to place as many team members as possible."

Last month, Roma's Bakery & Deli, on Winn St., closed.
